Ngerusar Hamlet dominates games in Airai Youth Day

Ngerusar Hamlet showed its dominance in sporting events and became overall champion in the recently held Airai Youth Day fun games and entertainment on March 15 at the Yelch Ball Field.
Ngerusar finished with 41 points, Ngetkib had 39, Ngchesechang 37, Ngeruluonel and Ordomel tied with 30, Oikull had 15.
In the 3.4 miles marathon for men, five of the top seven finishers are from Ngerusar including top placer Sim Ngiraiechol, who arrived in 35 minutes and 26 seconds.
Completing the top 10 are Kyle Telei of Ngeruluobel (35:52), Joseph Blas of Ngetkib (40:35), Derrik Sumang (41:48), Victor Philip (41:55), Mark Temol (42:52) and Llydon Renguul (43:01) all from Ngerusar; Sen. Otto (Open – 43:20), Temedik Ngireblekuu of Ngchesechang (44:03) and Rebluud Vincent of Ordomel (44:37).
In women’s marathon, five of the top 10 finishers also came from Ngerusar including Stepahnie Ngirchoimei, who came in 34:37.
Results of 100m women’s heat one finals showed Tamie Obak of Ordomel winning in 15.97; Josephine Rengulbai of Ngerusar in heat 2 women’s finals with a time of 15.29; Moses of Ngeruluobel in heat one of 100m men’s finals with a time of 12.56; and Antonio Ngiralemau of Ngchesechang won heat two of 100m men’s finals with a time of 13.22.
Maria Lund of Ngetkib won heat one of women’s 200m finals with a time of 1:00.75 while Laina of Ngchesechang won heat two in 1:02.06 while the men’s division, Blau Ngirmekur of Ngerusar topped heat one in 44.37 and Tyson Philiup also of Ngerusar prevailed in heat two in 44.60 seconds.
In the 4X100m relay for men, Ngerusar came in first with a time of 1:24.00 with a team composed of Sim Ngiraiyechol, Tyson Philip, Llyndon Renguul and Sumang Borja. Ngetkib came in second with a time of 1:24.61.
Ngetkib, however, topped the women’s relay with a time of 1:41.26 behind the team that composed of Angie, Skalsol, Sipora and Dedlil while Ngerusar timed 1:48.82 with the team of Vilia, Ngeru, Josephine and Kosiil.
In volleyball, Ngetkib prevailed over Ordomel in the finals while in softball, Ngetkib posted a 10-9 victory in the championship game against La-Ksid team from Ngchesechang.
