14 schools compete in NMI forensic competition

FOURTEEN high schools and middle schools competed in 42 speech, debate and literary interpretative events during the annual forensic skills competition early this month.
The competition, which was held at Saipan Southern High School and San Antonio Elementary School, was the fourth event of the 2006-2007 forensic season.
The event was the last “warm up” for students before the regional forensic competition scheduled for April 13 and 14 at Dandan Elementary School.
The regional contests will determine the members of the CNMI teams for the National Forensic League nationals in Wichita, Kansas, and the Middle School Forensic League nationals in Greeley, Colorado.
The following were the 25 contest categories and the winning students.
