(DEQ) — The Division of Environmental Quality and its partners in the Beautify CNMI! coalition announce that the deadline to register for the contest will be Friday, April 27 at 4:30 p.m.
Tina Sablan, contest coordinator, said there have been many inquiries, but they have yet to receive confirmed registrations from the villages. 
Registration forms are available at the DEQ office and through the Web site, www.deq.gov.mp.   Villages may have more than one cleanup project, and must submit a completed registration form describing the proposed projects to the DEQ office.
“Not only will villages be cleaner, safer, and more beautiful, but also the winning village will be the recipient of a curbside recycling pilot project, and will receive ‘Most Beautiful Village of 2007’ signs to post on the main entrance and exit streets,” said Sablan.
