THREE games are scheduled to be featured in the season opener as the 2007 Girls’ high school soccer season gets underway next week.
On Monday, April 2, the Independent Interscholastic Athletic Association of Guam Girls’ High School Soccer season starts with a bang. Games will be played at the Southern High School, George Washington and John F. Kennedy football fields.
The Lady Royals from Notre Dame will challenge Southern High Lady Dolphins in the first match of the ’07 season down South at Southern. The Dolphin versus Royals match begins at 4:30 p.m.
Later in the evening under bright Monday night lights, two contests will be had at separate venues. Up North at JFK’s Ramsey field, the Simon Sanchez Sharks hope to feast on some Kennedy Islanders and the Geckos will go against the Guam High Panthers. Both of those matches begin at 6:30 p.m.
The Academy of Our Lady of Guam, Harvest Christian Academy and the St. John’s Knights will enjoy a bye at the start of the season.
