Pacific Savings Bank depositors
who are expected to pick up their checks from March 28 through April 2
will be notified of the new dates and times to pick up their checks because
of the delay in arrival of blank checks.
The Receiver for PSB , Ltd. made the announcement yesterday to inform
depositors of a delay in the payout of depositor funds beginning the afternoon
of Wednesday, March 28, 2007 until further notice. Two of the five boxes
of blank checks ordered from the United States did not arrive and a new
order has been placed with the assistance of First Commercial Bank to
complete the payout.
However the notice said that depositors scheduled to pick up their checks
on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 and Wednesday morning, March 28, 2007 are asked
to visit the bank to pick up their checks as scheduled.
The receiver also said that checks will be available on Thursday, March
29, 2007 and Friday, March 30, 2007 for those depositors who were scheduled
to pick up their checks up to the morning of March 28, 2007 but were unable
to visit the Bank.
Funds were sent to each Bank that Depositors had requested a direct deposit
last week on Wednesday, March 21, 2007. Statements for these accounts
will be mailed to Depositors at a later date. These Depositors may also
pick up their statements from the Receiver before they are sent out.
