THE Senate Committee on Executive Appointments and Governmental Investigations will strongly recommend Vicente Calvo’s reappointment to the Commonwealth Development Authority’s board of directors, according to Senate Floor Leader, Felix T. Mendiola.
Mendiola, Covenant-Rota, said he will talk to Gov. Benigno R. Fitial personally about Calvo’s reappointment which was made by Lt. Gov. Timothy Villagomez early last month in his capacity as acting governor.
The governor later appointed Vito A. Ulloa to the same position.
Mendiola said he and his colleagues in the Senate believe in the competence and experience of Calvo who currently chairs the CDA board.
Mendiola said they are pleased with Calvo’s performance.
Ulloa has declined the appointment to CDA, and Press Secretary Charles P. Reyes Jr. said the governor is looking for another person to nominate for the post.
