4 new police officers sworn-in

Four new police officers were formally sworn in on Friday to the Bureau of Public Safety.
Miwa Nabeyama, Kiukl Ridpath, Ashley Oiterong and Hesus Omisong were sworn in to the police force by BPS Director Hazime Telei at the Vice President’s office.
Vice President and Justice Minister Elias Camsek Chin said that all the new officers will be assigned to the Division of Patrol and then will be reassigned to other division.
Chin told the new officers that being a cop is not an easy job.
In another development, the BPS yesterday asked the public’s assistance in search for reported missing person , Obichang Orak.
According to the public announcement of the police Orak is a male individual, in his early 50’s who reportedly left the Surangel Dock at the Airai side of the Japan-Palau Friendship Bridge last Sunday April 22 on a fishing trip and has not returned since then.
The announcement said that Orak who is a resident of Airai reportedly have left on a 20-footer marine six boat with a single 90HP Yamaha engine.
The announcement is described to have a white canopy and that Orak was last seen at about 4 p.m. on the same day at Tochelir a Ngebard, near Ngarchelong State.
