A total of 14
teams have joined the 2007 Palau Little League, which is held for the
first time in two years.
There were eight teams this year for the Major Division. These are Tribe,
Tigers, Phillies, Kedam, Paddlers, Kiuluul, Nationals and Emellakl.
In the Senior Division, the six participating teams are Reds, Paddlers,
Ngermid, Idid, Kamesang and Ngiwal.
The Reds are the only team that is joining this new year from among the
teams that participated in the 2004-2005 season of the Little League.
The Padres then coached by Tim Akitaya won the title.
Games started last Saturday April 21 in the Senior League but there were
no available results yet as of presstime.
The Reds faced the Paddlers while Ngermid met Idid and Kamesang tangled
with Ngiwal.
The second day of action will resume on Saturday April 4 with the Paddlers
taking on Ngermid, Idid vs. Kamesang and Ngiwal vs. Reds.
In the Major Little League, last Sundays (April 22) actions were
Tribe vs. Tigers, Kedam vs. Phillies, Padres vs. Kiuluul and Nationals
vs. Emellakl.
The next playing date is set on Sunday April 29 with the Phillies meeting
Tribe, Tigers vs. Kedam. Paddlers vs. Nationals, Kiuluul vs. Emellakl.
