THE Guam Police
Departments Criminal Investigation Section arrested two men and
one woman late Monday night in connection with the recent thefts and damages
to vending machines in nine schools and three establishments.
Christopher Anthony Dydasco, 20, of Santa Rita; Albert Aguon Cruz, 31,
of Agat; and Maryann Quinene Cruz, 34, of Agat, were arrested in this
case.
GPD public information officer Allan Guzman said Dydasco was booked and
confined on two counts of burglary, 19 counts of criminal mischief, 15
counts of theft of property, eight counts of guilt established by complicity,
eight counts of conspiracy to commit theft, eight counts of conspiracy
to commit burglary, eight counts of conspiracy to criminal trespass, eight
counts of criminal facilitation, and eight counts of criminal trespass.
Albert Cruz was booked and confined on two counts of burglary, 21 counts
of criminal mischief, 17 counts of theft of property, nine counts of guilt
established by complicity, eight counts of conspiracy to commit theft,
eight counts of criminal facilitation, and nine counts of criminal trespass.
Maryanne Cruz was charged with conspiracy, guilt established by complicity,
and criminal facilitation. She was booked and released.
According to Guzman, CIS was working on information received from the
Foremost Company regarding the thefts and damages to their vending machines
throughout the island.
The vending machines in the schools were allegedly hit by the three suspects.
Guzman said the following schools were targets: Jose Rios Middle School,
F.B. Leon Guerrero Middle School, John F. Kennedy High School, Southern
High School, Oceanview Middle School, Agueda Johnston Middle School, Marshal
Sablan Elementary School, Benavente Middle School, and the Academy of
our Lady of Guam Catholic High School.
Three other facilities were also targets the Astumbo Gymnasium,
the Hagatna Pool, and the Marianas Divers Association office, according
to Guzman.
The suspects in these cases broke into the schools and establishments
and damaged the vending machines and took the money. No money has been
recovered. However, there is an estimated $30,000 worth of damages done
to property (vending machines). This amount does not include the money
stolen from the machines, Guzman added.
Guzman told Variety that more charges are pending.
