Over a hundred racing enthusiasts have participated in last Saturday’s 5k run & walk-n-pick in commemoration of Earth Day.
Some 30 volunteers also helped made the event a big success, according to Peoria Koshia
Sen. Caleb Otto, who a day earlier became a recipient of the Environmental Excellence Award for individual category, picked up lb. of cigarette buds in front of the PNOC office and also around the Bethlehem area.
Herime Rapo submitted the heaviest weight of 46 lbs to win the men’ while Marjon had 21 lbs in the women’s category.
In the Children’s Division, Singe and Junior arrived with 17 lbs, Ongly Remengesau with 27 lbs and Jordan, Reed and Kelutel checked in with 30 lbs.
