Sixers diffuse Explosives; Sonics, G-Rollers win

THE Sixers debuted in the co-ed-12-and-under division of the 2007 NYBA 16-and-under Basketball League with a 29-10 victory over the Explosives last Monday at the Garapan court.
Roxanne Duenas led the Sixers’ 19-point win hitting 18 points.
In the second game in the girls’ 16-and-under division, Noelle Calvo drilled 15 points to power the G-Rollers to a 51-24 rout of the Explosives.
Former Women’s Team member Chelsea Ruluked added 13 points, while Duenas played in her second straight game of the night and chipped in 11 markers for the G-Rollers.
The G-Rollers played in the last game in the boys’ 16-and-under and had an easy time against the Sonics after notching a 72-52 victory.
Dan Mateo waxed hot with 24 points, while Kyle Concepcion added 15.
In last Friday’s games, the G-Rollers 2 and the ChaCha Ballers 2 prevailed over their separate foes.
The G-Rollers 2 whipped the Dandan Dreamers in the boys’ 14-and-under division, 39-17.
Jose Basa and Nikko Masga joined forces in the G-Rollers 2’s victory firing 13 and 11 points, respectively.
In the girls’ 16-and-under division, the ChaCha Ballers 1 held sister team ChaCha Ballers 2 to two points for a 34-point win, 36-2.
Only Ritchell Dela Cruz scored for the ChaCha Ballers 2, while Mercedez M. topscored for the ChaCha Ballers 1 with 16 points.
