35 players so far register for Alan Seid Badminton Challenge

A total of 35 players have already registered for the First Sen. Alan Seid Badminton Challenge slated May 5-6 at the Palau High School Gym, the organizing Palau Badminton Club announced yesterday.
Some 25 of them will be competing in the intermediate and advance categories while the rest are registered as beginners.
Organizers said that the first 50 entries will get free t-shirts.
Opening ceremonies will start at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday May 5.
Before that, there will be fun games and drawing of lots.
Rogie Salazar will serve as the master of ceremonies while Pastor Bambit of the PMA congregation will lead the invocation.
Allan Tuppil will deliver his welcoming address to be followed by an entertainment from the ATT dancers to be followed by special remarks from Gov. Jackson Ngiraingas of Peleliu.
On the second day of activities on Sunday May 6, Analiza Menor will give an invocation before Sen. Seid deliver a message.
This will be followed by the turnover of the proceeds to the Peleliu Old Age Center, entertainment numbers from ATT Dancers and the Awarding of Prizes for the winners.
The tournament is co-sponsored by Western Union-CTSI, Ambassador Mathew S. Lee of Taiwan, Mingles Tototo, Belau Tourism Association, Delegate Jonathan Isechal of Pelelliu, Grace Otsuka of ATT, Civic Action Team, Palau Royal Resort, Palau Horizon, Tia Belau and Island Times and Uchel Sechewas of Parks and Recreation.
The games and entertainment to honor the country’s senior citizens will be done during the audience participation part of the activity.
