THE Guam Police
Department is looking for the owners of nine dogs found in an Astumbo
home raided two weeks ago.
The dogs, according to GPD public information officer Allan Guzman, were
allegedly stolen from residents on Guam.
Guzman said people who believe their dogs may be one of the nine to bring
a photograph of the canine, a GPD case number, and other documents that
will prove that the dog is theirs.
Agents from GPDs Criminal Investigation Section will take the owner
to view the dogs and if they identify a dog as theirs, they can take it
home with them.
Contact CIS agents at 475-8552 to schedule a viewing.
Found amongst the stolen items were various electronic equipment, high
powered tools, pocket bikes, lawn equipment, windows, and air-conditioning
units.
Police continue their investigation into the April 19 raid on the Astumbo
home of Raymond I. Duenas, 33, and Lourdes Castro Duenas, 40, where thousands
of alleged stolen items were found.
The two face charges of theft by receiving stolen property as a second-degree
felony and theft by receiving stolen property as a third-degree felony
in local courts.
The two also face drug charges in the United States District Court of
Guam. The two recently pleaded not guilty to the drug charges.
Also arrested in connection with this case were Franklin Bamba Atoigue,
36, and Steven Anthony Camacho, 21, of Ordot.
Police ask residents with any information on this case to call GPD at
472-8911 or Guam Crime Stoppers at 477-HELP (4357). Crime Stoppers does
not use caller ID and you do not have to leave your name.
