LES Hustlers
dropped their last match in the 2007 Budweiser SBA Open 8-Ball League,
but this did not prevent them from winning the championship in the 14-team
field.
Les Hustlers bowed to Ysabel Leche Tent, 3-4, in the last game of the
season on April 24 to finish with a 70-21 record.
Buds All In Boys won its last game downing Vince Bwibwiis, 5-2,
but the former ended the season with only 65 wins and 26 losses. Had the
Buds All In Boys swept Vince Bwibwiis and Les Hustlers lost by a
big margin, it might have been a different story.
Les Hustlers held the 8-ball lead throughout the 13 weeks of the tournament
to claim the championship.
In other results,
USSP Wat-ever nipped the Wild Wild West, 4-3, Porkys Toka Hao clipped
the VFW Warriors I, 4-3, the Buds Predators beat Vince Amigos, 6-1,
Krystal Perfect Spotters defeated the VFW Warriors II, 5-2 and USSP Fotten
Palau topped The Godfathers.
With the win, USSP Wat-ever finished third in the tournament with a 58-33
record.
Completing the top five were the Krystal Perfect Spotters with a 49-42
slate and The Godfathers. with a 46-45 record.
Making it to the top 10 were Wild Wild West, (46-45), Buds Predators
(44-47), VFW Warriors I (43-48), Porkys Toka Hao (41-50) and Vince
Amigos (41-50).
USSP Fotten Palau was in 11th place with a 36-55 record, followed by VFW
Warriors II, (35-56), Ysabel Leche Tent (31-53) and Vince Amigos (27-57).
