Alternative

I AM writing this letter in support veterinarian Dr. Dela Cruz and the government clinic in As Perdido. We are retirees and have more time than money. We appreciate being able to take our animals to Dr. Dela Cruz. We don’t mind waiting and plan our time to fit the clinic’s schedules.
Dr. Tudor’s said he is “the sole practicing veterinarian in the CNMI.” This makes his service a monopoly and his prices, of course, reflect that. Taking a dog to the vet and finding out the bill is $200 is “about money,” and, Dr. Tudor, it’s too much money for some people’s budgets. A free market economy provides choices, not a monopoly. Everyone needs to make their own decisions, their own choices.
Again, we appreciate Dr. Dela Cruz’s services to the community. It provides an alternative care program for some of us.
