Guam Contractors Association members elect new board

THE Guam Contractors’ Association held its Board of Directors election during the April general membership luncheon meeting at the Outrigger Guam Resort, a press release said.
Elected to serve on the 2007 -2008 GCA Board of Directors are Jere Johnson of Hawaiian Rock Products, John Robertson of AmOrient Contracting, Miguel Rangel of Maeda Pacific Corp., Steve Radonich of Smithbridge Guam, Bill Beery of Watts Constructors LLC, and Louis De Maria of Dick Pacific Construction Co.
Karen Storts of Reaction Co., Tom Anderson of Black Construction Corp., and Tom Perez of Perez Bros. Inc. retained their seats for another term.
The newly-elected contractor board members then met later in April to select four directors from the group’s associate member companies. The associate members chosen to serve on the GCA Board include Allen Turner of Taniguchi Ruth Makio Architects, Pamela Cruz of Takagi & Associates, Ray Yanger of Matson Navigation, and Dave Hicks of America’s Best Electricmart.
The Guam Contractors Association Board of Directors held their first official meeting of the fiscal year on May 2 and elected their executive officers and committee liaisons.
Jere Johnson was elected as the GCA Board president, Louis De Maria as vice president, and Tom Perez as secretary/treasurer and chairman of the Finance Committee.
Additionally, board liaisons appointed to the various committees include Ray Yanger as chairman of the Activities, Professional and Community Affairs Committee, Dave Hicks as chairman of the Membership Committee, Karen Storts as chairman of the Safety Committee, John Robertson as chairman of the Government, Military and Labor Affairs Committee, and Bill Beery as chairman of the Education and Training Committee.
