POLICE seek a man and a woman in connection with the assault of a female employee of the Guang Sheng Restaurant in Dededo at around 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, according to Guam Police Department public information officer Allan Guzman.
Guzman told Variety that the male suspect is described as local, 5-feet-6-inches tall, and weighs 180 pounds. He is of medium build, with fair complexion, black short hair and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a black short-sleeve shirt and camouflage pants. The male suspect also has gold crowns on his front upper teeth.
The woman is described as local, 5-feet-3-inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, of slim build, and has a fair complexion. She was last seen wearing black pants. No additional details on the woman’s description was available.
Guzman said the restaurant employee was also a victim of racial slurs.
“She was throwing the trash (outside the restaurant) when she noticed a couple arguing. When she looked at their direction, the couple directed racial slurs at her,” Guzman said.
The victim went inside the restaurant and noticed that the couple who were arguing outside and harassed her also entered the establishment.
“The couple continued to attack the female employee with racial slurs. The male suspect then followed the female employee into the kitchen area and began slapping the female on the head and poked her eyes, injuring her,” Guzman said.
The owner attempted to stop the assault. The suspects fled the restaurant in a Nissan pickup “low rider” with dark tint and a partial license plate number of 4-3-9-9.
The victim refused treatment by Guam Fire Department medical personnel.
