Election Commission assigns polling places for Senate special election

The Election Commission has released yesterday the designated polling places for 27 areas in Palau for the 7th OEK Senate Special Election on May 9.
The designated polling places are the following: 1) Kayangel --Bai ra Melengel, 2) Ngarchelong --State summerhouse el Ngara Mengellakl, 3) Ngaraard --Bai ra Klebeang el Ngara Ngebukded, 4) Ngiwal --Labk, 5) Melekeok -- Bailechesau, 6) Ngchesar --State Office el Ngara Karmaliang, 7) Ngardmau --State Office, 8) Ngaremlengui – Old Age Center, 9) Ngatpang – State Office and 10) Aimeliik – Community Center El Ngara Ngerkeai.
There will be also at the following areas: 11) Ordomel – Bai ra Melengel, 12) Oikuul Ma Ngchesechang – Community Center, 13) Ngerusar – Bai’r Melabch, 14) Ngeruluobel Ma Ngetkib – Eugnel A Did Ra Airai Side, 15) Ngermid – Bai Ra Ngarbachesis, 16) Ngerkeseaol – Bai Ra Elangel, 17) Ngerchemai – Bai Ra Ibelau, 18) Iyebukel Ma Idid – Osiaol Ra Catholic Mission;
All Central boxes will be located in Ngarachamayong cultural Center including 19) Meketii, 20) Ikelau, 21) Dngeronger and 22) Madalaii.
The other polling places are in 23) Ngerbeched – Bai Ra Ngedechibel, 24) Meyuns – Blai Ra Taoch, 25) Ngerkebesang – Blai Ra Taoch, 26) Peleliu – State Office and Angaur – State Office.
The special election is to choose a replacement for the vacant seat left by the late Senate President Johnny Reklai.
There are four aspirants for this lone position – Paul Ueki (#1), Imelda Nakamura (#2), Sandra Pierantozzi (#3) and Hokkons Baules (#4).
