NBL Season Playoffs Suns, Meda, 5 other teams prevail over opponents

The Surangel Suns recovered from a slow start to beat the Ngarchelong Blue Sharks, 79-56, on Wednesday night May 2 while Meda and five other teams posted easy wins over their respective opponents on Wednesday night in the 2007 Shell NBL Season Playoffs at the Palau National Gymnasium.
Arnold Undecimo and Alvin Soguilon scored 19 points apiece as the Suns rallied from an 8-18 first quarter deficit on the way to the victory.
Also on May 2, Ziske Asanuma and Lyndon Ngiramolau finished with 19 and 16 points, respectively, as Meda easily prevailed against PCC Mesekiu, 78-59.
The night before on Tuesday May 1, Airai defeated Topside On Fire, 94-85, with Tkoel Iyechad firing in 26 points to lead the team to the win.
This was followed by Ngiwal 79ers’ 78-61 win over the Jaguars and PPR’s 86-63 humbling off Kabong.
The first round of the Season Playoffs started last Monday with the Stingers opening up its campaign with a 95-87 victory over Klebokel while Mesang defeated the Kinsmen, 98-41.
All 26 teams after the Division Playoffs are competing including Division I champion Peched Raw and runner up Ngermid Rivals and Division II champion Mason’s Hardware and runner-up Bullets.
Peched is the defending champion for the Season Playoffs.
Last night’s games were between the Breakers and the Bullets and between the Ranchers and tMason’s Hardware.
Tonight’s matches will be between the Rivals and Airai, Peched vs. PPR, and Styxers vs. Stingers.
Games tomorrow night will be between the Ikelauans and Ngiwal 79ers and between the Ididers and Ngiwal Central
