This was confirmed by Minister of Finance Gordon Darcy Lilo in Brisbane.
The ban was imposed last year by the Australian government following the removal of the Australian high commissioner Patrick Cole and the ongoing Julian Moti saga.
The ban was lifted last week by the Australian government allowing government ministers to travel to Brisbane on Saturday for the unveiling of the new leased Solomon Airlines jet.
“Yes, the ban was lifted last week before the government ministers traveled to Brisbane at the weekend,” Lilo said.
“Allowing the government ministers to travel for the unveiling of the Embraer E-170 jet leased by the national carrier in partnership with an Australian airlines Charter firm Skyairworld,” he said.
