FOUR adults were arrested in connection with alleged sexual assaults on three minors in separate incidents.
One of the adults arrested is the mother of one of the victims who blamed her daughter instead of confronting a man.
Diana Reyes, 45, was indicted by a grand jury for child abuse after telling her daughter not to mind Melvin Rosario Santos because the alleged sexual offender was only drunk.
Santos, 47, was charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct as a first-degree felony, assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct as a third-degree felony, two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct as a misdemeanor, and assault.
Reyes and Santos were arrested.
According to the victim, Santos, who is her mother’s boyfriend, sexually assaulted her sometime around Christmas of 2006.
The victim said she tried to get away from Santos but he forced her to open her legs before she managed to free herself.
The victim reported that Santos slapped her face and punched her leg regularly and when she tried to tell her mother about the incident, Reyes said it was the victim’s fault.
Santos has a prior conviction in the Superior Court of Guam for hindering apprehension in Sept. 1997.
He was also convicted for driving while under the influence of alcohol on July 1, 1981.
Another minor reported that she was sexually assaulted by Robert Manglona at the back of his residence.
Manglona was charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct as a first-degree felony and two counts of child abuse as a misdemeanor.
Another minor was sexually assaulted after watching a soccer game in March 2007.
Florencio Supe Villamor Jr., 47, parked his blue pick up truck parallel to a dirt road and asked the minor, “Do you and your boyfriend have sex?”
The minor reported that Villamor pulled out a condom and a small packet of lubricator from his pocket and told the minor, “I can teach you how to use these things since you are already a teenager.”
The victim said she was frightened and told Villamor that she wanted to go home but the man ignored her plea and started touching her private parts.
The minor reported the incident to the police. When confronted by police, Villamor told the minor that he was sorry.
Villamor was charged with fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct as a misdemeanor, family violence, assault, child abuse and harassment.
