Members of the junior tennis team of Palau are currently preparing for the upcoming annual tournament in Saipan, CNMI scheduled on June 9-16.
The team is holding an informal get-together starting at 10 a.m. today May 4 at the Palau Pacific Resort tennis courts.
The players, who are practicing hard for the event, include Odanges Dengokl, Uriik Luii, Marica Osengko Otto, Colleen Ngerdokou Gibbons, Kira Kirong Ngirachitei, Elechong Hideyos, Kaito Fuji, Ayana Rengiil, Roman Tmetuchl II, Salii Akitaya, Klang Jones, Blailes Jones, Eluut Isaac, Marina Toribiong, Nicole Odviar, Abbigail Clement, Jasmine Yano, Sils Tmetuchl, Baul Reklai, Freja M. Asanuma, Teiyun and Hannah.
The team’s coach is Ernestine Rengiil.
The junior players are soliciting support as they want the public to stop by, cheer them on, challenge them to a match and enjoy with them light snacks with their friends. Donations for their trip will be highly appreciated.
Meanwhile, tryout for the team to Saipan is on until the end of the month.
