LIKE cancer, graffiti does
not discriminate. Graffiti strikes Garapan Head Start facility in Chinatown
last month.
We do not want profanity to be introduced to our child at such an early
stage. Our son David B. Sablan attends the afternoon session at Garapan
Head Start.
About a month ago I called a member of the House of Representatives to
help remove the graffiti at our sons school, but the representative
fail to response to our request. So I called Rep. Frank S. Dela Cruz,
of the 3rd Precinct. In less than 24 hours, Representative Dela Cruz called
me to extend his appreciation for soliciting his office assistance and
to let me know that the graffiti ess gone, removed, wall painted.
When politicians ask us for our votes, we sometimes conveniently say you
have my vote, giving them the impression they really do, but in
many cases it was simply an empty promise. But for Representative Dela
Cruz, he deserves more. I invite the parents (voting or not) of the Garapan
Head Start kids to joint me in thanking Representative Dela Cruz with
our votes of confidence. And like me (a resident of Capital Hill), I will
ask my family and friends residing in Garapan to support Representative
Dela Cruz on his re-election this year.
Congressman, on behalf of the parents of Garapan Head Start kids, we thank
you so much, we truly appreciate your quick response. We sincerely recognize
also your community workers effort on the task.
We wish you a successful re-election on November this year.
