Quit pointing fingers and whinning

IT has been scientifically proven that you can’t point a finger at someone else without pointing three fingers back at yourself. Face it, we are all flawed, and we all live in glass houses, even our elected officials, and God knows, even the local practicing veterinarian at PIAH.
We all tend to judge ourselves by our good intentions (regardless of the outcome), but we are very quick to judge others by their results. Jesus put it very well when he noted that we are quick to notice the splinter in our neighbors eye but never notice the log in our own.
None of us is perfect, and though we all think that the world would be a much better place if everyone would just listen “to me,” I’m here to tell you that if we listened to you within a very short time we would be complaining about your decisions and lack of accomplishments.
If running the government, or the economy, or the local veterinary hospital, were such an easy task everyone would be doing it, and there would be no problems, period!
Think about it, why is it that we tend to elect the “stupidest” people to office? .And doesn’t that make us more stupid than they are since we put them there? If you are thinking, “I voted for someone else,” remember if your “stupid” candidate had been elected, he/she would now be the brunt of all of the rumors, innuendo’s and criticisms, and would be the new “stupid guy in office” that couldn’t do anything right.
The sad truth is that we don’t vote for gods that are all-seeing and all-knowing, and omnipotent; we vote for other humans with all of their failings, and then we expect them to talk their way out of problems that we have behaved ourselves into. Grow up!
A little suggestion. Don’t criticize, condemn, or complain. You’ll like the effect it has on you. Just get behind whoever is in office and let them try their ideas. Some will be right and some will be wrong, but in 3-4 years you’ll be able to vote them out of office and get someone new to abuse.
I guarantee you that the sun will rise tomorrow, and the CNMI/USA will still be there regardless of who is in office, and supporting their efforts just might make things better. You never know.
Remember that problems can’t be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them, and that the way you see the problem is often the biggest challenge to solving the problem.
Putting it very nicely, “Attitudes are the only real handicaps.”
And while you’re at it, read the “Sermon on the Mount,” and take another look at the “10 Suggestions” Oops, I meant the “10 Commandments.”
