Man charged with sexual assault

A MAN faces numerous charges of assault and criminal sexual conduct after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in April, and raped her when she was 11 years old and then again when she was 15.
The victim told police that Banphino Luiso Raymond, 39, sexually assaulted her in 2003 when she was just 15 years old.
Raymond has a preliminary court hearing at the Superior Court of Guam at 4 p.m. on May 14 in Judge Alberto Lamorena’s courtroom, according to a court clerk.
Raymond faces charges of aggravated assault as a second-degree felony, attempted first-degree criminal sexual conduct as a first-degree felony, three counts first-degree criminal sexual conduct as a first-degree felony, second-degree criminal sexual conduct as a first-degree felony, and two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct as a first-degree felony.
According to magistrate documents from the Attorney General’s Office based on a report of Guam Police Department officers, a woman told police on April 23 at 10 a.m. that Raymond assaulted her while she was sleeping at her aunt’s home in Maite.
The woman told police that she wasn’t sure how Raymond had gained access into the home as both the doors and windows were locked. Raymond stated, according to documents, to have had permission to enter the home but he also admitted to entering through a window by removing the screen and climbing through.
“Raymond came upon (the female), grabbed her, covered her mouth and banged her head against the wall and struck her in the face several times. Raymond then told her to ‘shut up’ and ‘take off her clothes.’ (The female) tried to escape, and held on to a door, and was struck several more times before Raymond stopped and told her not to tell anyone,” court documents read.
Because of the incident, the woman suffered swelling to the entire right side of her face and feared that Raymond would rape her. The woman also stated that this was not the first time. Raymond had raped her in the past, according to documents.
The woman said Raymond also raped her multiple times between Dec. 1997 and Dec. 1999, once when she was 11 years old, and in the sixth grade, he sexually assaulted her and only stopped when she screamed.
