THE 26th DFS Micronesian Tennis Championships will be held in the last two weekends of this month at the PIC hardcourt.
From May 18 to 20, the annual netfest will feature competitions in the adults’ doubles and juniors singles, while participants in the adults’ singles and junior doubles will play from May 25 to 28.
The entrance fee is $15 per event for singles and $10 for doubles per person.
The adults’ doubles and juniors singles draw is set for May 14 at 8 p.m. and interested players are encouraged to submit entry forms on or before 5 p.m., on May 14. The deadline for the submission of registrations forms for adults’ singles and juniors doubles is scheduled for May 20 at 3 p.m.
The adults’singles will have competitions in the men’s 40&U, 2.0/3.0, 4.0 and 4.5, and Open, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 in the women’s. The men’s doubles has only four divisions, namely 3.0, 4.0, 40&U and Open, while the women’s doubles and mixed doubles will feature 2.0,/3.0 and Open/4.0 divisions.
The juniors singles will have three age groups; the 9-and-under, 13-and-under and 18-and-under.
The juniors doubles will have competitions only in two divisions, namely, the 12-and-under and 15-and-under age groups.
