Make-A-Wish grants 151st wish

(MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION) — On March 20, volunteers and board members of the Make-A-Wish Foundation gathered to grant the wish of a very special young girl who diagnosed with a heart condition. With the assistance of many corporate donors, 6-year-old Jayveean Ellieisar was granted her wish at home.
Jayveean was first referred to Make-A-Wish in Aug. 2006 while she was receiving medical treatment in Honolulu at Kapiolani Children’s Hospital.
Upon returning back to Saipan in late 2006, volunteers from the Foundation met with Jayveean and her mother Dorcia Mullican.
When asked what she wanted, 5-year-old Jayveann Elieisar told the Make-A-Wish Foundation without any hesitation that she wished to have her very own playset.
As soon as everything was in order, Jayveann’s wish was granted.
Triple B Forwarders donated the shipping costs for the 900-pound cedar wood playset from Maine.
This is the second playset that a child from Saipan has received from the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The playset was acquired through CedarWorks, a partner of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America.
Both sets were shipped to Saipan through Triple B Forwarders and housed in their storage facility until Wish dates were finalized.
Installation of Jayveeann’s playset was coordinated through the staff and management of CMS of Saipan. CMS crew assembled the playset at their facility and transported the playset to Jayveeann’s residence.
Again, CMS participated on the assembly and installation of both playsets for Wish Children on Saipan.
To make her day extra special, Jayveann and her family had the opportunity to spend the morning at the Pacific Islands Club while volunteers assembled the playset for the unsuspecting little girl.
When the family returned, Jayveann was welcomed home to balloons, cake, and ice cream, and best of all, her new and fully assembled playset.
Board members Vicky Benavente and Kathryn Barry along with Make-A-Wish Saipan volunteers assisted in granting Jayveean her wish.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children throughout Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands between the ages of 2 and 18 who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.
