THE Guam Police
Departments Highway Patrol Division is investigating Tuesday nights
vehicular accident that took the life of a 25-year-old man and injured
the 30-year-old driver who was later reported in stable condition at the
Guam Memorial Hospital.
According to GPD public information officer Allan Guzman, at around 11:25
p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to an auto running off the roadway
incident on Route 10 in Mangilao by the KNS Store and Roberto Street.
The Guam Police Highway Patrol Division was activated and investigated
the crash scene, Guzman said. It was determined that the driver
and front passenger received injuries, which resulted in the death of
the passenger.
The identity of the men will be released at a later date. A GMH nursing
supervisor identified the deceased man as a 25-year-old and police say
he is a resident of Mangilao.
The driver, meanwhile, is described as a 30-year-old man, also of Mangilao.
A preliminary (GPD) investigation reveals that a Nissan Altima was
traveling south on Route 10 in Mangilao headed towards Barrigada when
the driver lost control of the vehicle and it ran off the roadway. The
vehicle struck a concrete utility pole near the KNS Store, Guzman
said.
The Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate the accident and
is looking into whether speed or alcohol were contributing factors.
Hit-and-run probe

5:15 and 5:30 a.m.
The suspect vehicle, described only as a sedan, struck Zanis on Fatima
Road in Dededo headed towards Route 16 in the west lane by the On the
