ORGANIZERS of the SAIPANCELL/BANMI 25-and-under Basketball League and of 2007 Inter-government Basketball League will suspend games in the ongoing tournaments until teams pay the entrance fees.
Elias Rangamar said they will not hold games in the 25-and-under caging this weekend, as three teams have yet to pay a single penny for the entrance fee, while four squads have yet to settle their balances.
Rangamar said they already set a payment scheme to help those who have problems paying the entrance fees, but teams are not following their agreement.
“We will not play this weekend, unless they settle their fees or pay at least a certain amount,” Rangamar said.
The entrance fee in the 25-and-under caging is $500, while the registration fee in the government caging is $400.
The regular season of the government basketball tournament will end tomorrow and the playoffs are originally set to start on Monday.
“We will not start the playoffs until teams start settling their dues,” Rangamar said.
