FOUR persons were arrested
and brought to federal court for possession and distribution of ice.
Paul Villanueva Ada, also known as Paul Maduk, Norbert Benavente Camacho,
Kelvin Matagolai Cepeda and Dina Torres, also known as Dina Torres Gonzales,
appeared in federal court on Wednesday and yesterday morning.
They waived reading of the indictment and entered a plea of not guilty
to the offense of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance, distribution
of a controlled substance, and possession with the intent to distribute
a controlled substance.
Camacho and Gonzales were indicted for conspiracy to distribute a controlled
substance and distribution of a controlled substance.
The indictment stated that beginning in early Feb. 2007 and continuing
until at least Feb. 20, 2007, Norbert Camacho and Dina Torres Torres conspired
and confederated with one another to distribute a quantity of methamphetamine
or ice.
According to the indictment, the defendants distributed a quantity of
ice.
Torres was also indicted on a separate charge of distribution of a controlled
substance for distributing a controlled substance on Feb. 28, 2007.
Camacho, Ada and Cepeda were indicted on a separate charge of conspiracy
to distribute a controlled substance and distribution of a controlled
substance.
Ada was also indicted separately for possession with the intent to distribute
a controlled substance for possession of more than five grams of ice
on April 13, 2007.
