Palau Tennis Federation’s singles tournament for the novice category kicked off last week with eight registered participants.
The federation recently concluded its open and intermediate categories with over 16 players who vied for the championship trophy.
The champion in the novice category will advance to the intermediate category.
The category will be played in a round robin format and the top four will proceed to the playoffs.
The games are played every night starting at 6 p.m. at the Airai Elementary School tennis court.
Gail Manalastas , Ramon Gulla and Menandro Manuel are leading the tournament with zero losses.
Championship games are expected to conclude on the weekend.
