Major league has new batting, pitching leaders

THE Hustlers’ Aldebert Lizama is the new batting leader in the Majors division of the 2007 Saipan Little League Baseball tournament, while the SAIPANCELL Patriots’ Brian Camacho is the new king on the mound.
After last Sunday’s games, Lizama posted a .720 batting average hitting 18-for-25 at the plate.
He grabbed the No. 1 spot from erstwhile leader and Mobil Kagman Aztecs’ Leroy Regis, who dropped to second place with a .690 average. Regis was 24-for-35 at the plate.
Another Hustlers slugger made it into the top five with Austin Lizama placing third. Lizama went 17-for-25 for a .680 batting average.
Completing the top five were the Ol’Aces II’s Caleb Arriola and the Patriots’ Brian Camacho, who posted .667 and .649 batting averages, respectively.
The Aztecs’ Ricard Dela Cruz is in sixth place with his .630 average, followed by the Twins’ Ton Camacho, the Pirates’ Arther Jebehn, the Patriots’ Jared Sablan, the Aztecs’ Greg Iskawa, the Twins’ Zachary Aldan and Brandon Babauta and McDonald’s Brandon Tenorio.
The Patriots’ Jeremy Rabauliman has the most runs with 25, followed by Aldan with 23 and Regis with 22. Rabauliman also has the most homers with eight.
Brian Camacho and Regis are leading in doubles with eight apiece, while Camacho’s teammate LaMarc Iguel has seven.
Iguel, Raymond Saralu and Jothan Camacho are leading in triples with five each.
Robert Tudela is leading the Majors in RBIs with 21, while Iguel and Rabauliman have 20 and 19, respectively.
Brian Camacho booted out McDonald’s Patrick Tenorio in the No. 1 spot in the pitching race.
In four games, Camacho pitched in 15 innings and allowed only three hits. Only one run was charged against him for a 0.40 ERA.
Tenorio dropped to second with a 1.09 ERA. The McDonald’s pitcher pitched 33 innings in eight games and allowed 17 hits. Six runs were charged against him.
In third place was Camacho’s teammate Cris Mizer, followed by Virlanson Secharmidal of the Ol’Aces II and the Hustlers’ Aldebert Lizama.
Completing the pitching leaders list, which was based on 15 or more innings, were the Ol’Aces II’s Lancaster Secharmidal, the Aztecs’ Ricardo Dela Cruz, the Braves’ Ricky Joe Riungel, the Red Sox’ Clayton Aguon, the Pirates LJ Norita and the Braves’ Peter Lieto.
