THE Traders Insurance/PTI Cup Badminton Tournament will end this Sunday with the championship match in the mixed doubles at the Gilbert C. Ada Gym.
Ryan Achas and Elma Labuson are already in the finals after finishing the elimination round with a 4-2 record.
Achas and Labuson advanced to the finals after beating Erik Pena and Marlene Peraja, 21-15, 21-19, in the knockout battle for the first finals berth last Saturday.
Three pairs will be fighting for the last finals ticket.
Noelle Wong and Diane Dan Juan will face Patrick Fieldad and Cristy Villaflor for the right to face Raj Jayalal and Ingrid Sanchez in the semis.
Jayalal and Sanchez gained an automatic semis berth after topping their division with a 3-0 record.
Dar Juan and Wong finished with a 3-1 slate tying Fieldad and Villaflor.
This Sunday’s match winners will join the champions circle, which included the pair Alvin Alvarez and Eric Pena (Men’s B doubles), the duo Loida Ito and Cristy Villaflor (Women’s A/B division), Macoi Aguda and Jayalal (Men’s A), Narlou Achas and Ariel Mariano (Men’s C), Deborah Fisher and Camille Samonte (Women’s C) and Fisher and Milo Valdez (Mixed C).
