Blue Mass to honor fallen police officers

Department of Public Safety personnel will attend a Blue Mass to honor fallen police officers in observance of CNMI Police Week which includes other activities such as a top gun competition
The department will observe Peace Officers Memorial Day on Tuesday morning in honor of law enforcement officers who, “through their courageous deeds, have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their community.”
The Blue Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at St. Jude Church.
DPS will start the CNMI Police Week activities by holding open house in the area between the multi-purpose center and the police academy from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.
The community is invited to participate and learn more about DPS and its functions.
On Wednesday, a top gun competition at the San Juan Marpi firing range for active sworn personnel will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
On Thursday and Friday, there will be a golf tournament for DPS personnel at Laolao Bay Golf Resort, a fishing derby and an open house at the Garapan fire station.
On Wednesday next week, DPS will observe Emergency Medical Services for Children and Click It or Ticket Mobilization days as well as Boating Safety Week.
