Horizon news staff

Vice president and Justice Minister Elias Camsek Chin said Palau has not received any report that Palau is in the list of "countries of concern" involving narcotics
Chin said he has not received that report but stressed that Palau is doing very well in its fight against entry of illegal drugs in the country.
He said that the report that Palau is under the watch list has "not come to me though proper channel."
Chin said that Palau has not had any reports nor cases of entry of methamphetamine into the country since last year.
He said that law enforcement officers are strictly monitoring all points of entry.
He added that law enforcers here are also sharing information with authorities in neighboring countries such as Taiwan, Guam and Philippines to curb entry of illegal drugs in Palau.
The police officers have also been getting training to combat drugs.
He said arrests and prosecution of persons involved in the illegal trade of drugs have been made this is because of the strengthened efforts against drugs.
