To Tinian Mayor Tinian Jose P. San Nicolas

THE Tinian legislative delegation wholeheartedly applauds and congratulates you dad for your vision in recognizing that our municipality’s casino industry and the future opening of our international airport will result in the influx of (different ethnicity) visitors from abroad.
And because of your vision, you saw and felt that in order to really promote our island of Tinian, the municipality has the potential to offer other things besides casino gamin. By acknowledging such potential, you initiate a plan that you know will benefit not only all our visitors but our people as well, to include our children and that is constructing our first ever Tinian’s animal sanctuary, showcasing different kinds of local wildlife. By establishing such sanctuary, you also saw that this is one way to really preserve our wildlife.
During the weekend of our annual celebration of our patron saint, San Jose the Worker, you officially opened the sanctuary for everyone (visitors and our people) to see and enjoy the showcasing of our wildlife.
And because of the realization of the sanctuary, I am sure that a lot of our people sincerely enjoyed and appreciated the beauty of the sanctuary has to offer and I join Mr. Philip Mendiola-Long and all our people in saying thank you and please keep up the good work.
Also, on behalf of our parish, it is only proper that we extend our Si Yu’us Maase to you because even with the current economic situation, you still manage to find positive ways to assist our parish in providing prizes for its raffle fundraising, so together with Ms. Dolores Cruz and the other winners, we thank you very much.
In closing, as your son, I am very proud of your positive vision, untiring efforts, and optimistic goal for the future of Tinian, our people, our CNMI, and most especially our children. Thank you dad and keep up your good work for the benefit of all.

SEN. HENRY H. SAN NICOLAS
15th Legislature
