San Vicente, Garapan complete semis cast in elementary school fast-pitch softball tilt

SAN Vicente and Garapan Elementary Schools grabbed the top two places in Pool A to advance to the semifinals of the 2006-2007 Elementary School Boys and Girls’ Fast-pitch Softball tournament.
The Mallards finished the regular season with a 3-1 record in the boys’ division to join the Canaries in the semis.
San Vicente has a 3-0 record in the boys’ division and was playing Kagman Elementary School in its last game of the regular season yesterday.
In the girls’ division, the Lady Canaries are also undefeated in three games, while the Lady Mallards finished the regular season with a 2-2 slate.
Garapan tied Gregorio Camacho Elementary School in the girls’ division, but the former claimed the second semis seat as it beat GTC in their lone meeting.
The semifinal round in Pool A begins today with the Canaries and the Mallards squaring off for the first finals ticket.
The girls’ division game will be played first at 3:30 p.m., followed by the boys’ match at 5 p.m.
Tomorrow, Koblerville Elementary School will take on Oleai Elementary School in the girls’ semifinals, while the Umangs will face William S. Reyes in the boys’ division.
Koblerville advanced to the semifinals of both the girls and boys’divisions after sweeping all three games in the regular season.
Oleai had a 2-1 record and WSR had a similar 2-1 record.
The winners in the semifinals games in Pools A and B will battle for the championship titles on Thursday and Friday.
The girls’ finals and consolation matches are set for Thursday, while the boys’ championship game is scheduled for Friday.
