A WORKSHOP for potential exports
is in the works to promote the expansion of CNMI products into the Japan
market.
Northern Marianas Colleges Cooperative Research Extension and Education
Services will conduct a workshop titled, Doing Business in Japan
for Agricultural Entrepreneurs.
NMC-CREES believes that through these efforts, farmers will develop the
industry further as such opportunity remain untapped.
The key objective is to create opportunities for agriculture-based entrepreneurs.
According to the workshops key speaker, Dr. Michael Reber, this
opportunity has been available for quite some time now. The U.S. government
wants to see more small businesses taking advantage of such opportunities.
The workshop will cover the areas of U.S. Commercial Service in
Japan, Using the Gold and Platinum Key Service, and Borrowing from U.S.
Department of Agricultures Farm Service Agency.
Ross Manglona, director of NMC-CREES said, We offer an array of
workshops in hopes of creating economic opportunities. Such educational
sessions allow us to get in touch with members of our community and try
to make an impact on their lives through the power of knowledge.
