Taiwan Ambassador Matthew
Lee on Friday briefed the Palau Community College students about the bilateral
relationship between Palau and Taiwan.
The PCC students of Changes in Micronesia and History of Palau invited
Lee to give a talk on the diplomatic relationship between the two countries.
Nicole Ngirmekur, one of the PCC student said that through the ambassadors
talk, she was made aware of the various infrastructure projects financed
by the Taiwan government.
"It was very interesting, the ambassador is doing a nice job, "
Ngirmekur said.
Taiwan and Palau forged a diplomatic relationship in year 2000.
She said the talk given by Lee for two hours enlightened the students
of the help Taiwan has been providing by the government to Palau such
as funding assistance to build the new Capitol in Melekeok, the Ngarachamayong
Center.
Seit Andres, professor of the class said that about 40 students are attending
the class which delves on the political scene in Micronesia.
