3 sentenced in separate domestic violence cases

THREE persons were sentenced by the Superior Court after pleading guilty to offenses connected with separate domestic violence cases.
Robert Ngiramengior, 42, Ignacio Clement Santos, 43, and Margarita Osomai Litulumar, 39, pleaded guilty to assault and battery and disturbing the peace charges.
Ngiramengior, Santos and Litulumar appeared for a change of plea hearing on May 15 and May 16 with their counsels, Assistant Public Defenders Adam Hardwicke and Samuel J. Randall.
Chief Prosecutor Jefferey Warfield Sr., agreed to dismiss the assault with a dangerous weapon and attempted aggravated assault and battery charges filed against Ngiramengior in exchange of his guilty plea to assault and battery, and the assault and battery filed against Santos in exchange of his guilty plea to disturbing the peace.
Associate Judge Ramona V. Manglona accepted the defendants’ pleas and sentenced Ngiramengior to one year of imprisonment, all suspended except for 60 days with credit for four days of time already served from Nov. 11 to 15, 2006.
Ngiramengior was ordered to report to the Department of Corrections on July 2 at 8 a.m. to begin serving his unsuspended jail time. He will be released on Aug. 27 at 8 am.
Ngiramengior was placed on probation for a period of one year and was ordered to pay a fine of $500 and an assessment fee of $25. He will perform 100 hours of community work service at a minimum of 10 hours per month with no conversion to a fine.
Ngiramengior was ordered to stay away from the victim, who is the defendant’s nephew.
His review hearing was set for Oct. 3 at 9 a.m.
Santos and Litulumar were both put on probation for six months.
Santos was sentenced to six months of imprisonment but all suspended except for 36 hours of credit for time served.
Santos was ordered to pay a fine of $250 and an assessment fee of $25. He will perform 40 hours of community work service at a minimum of 5 hours per month.
He will also submit letter of apology to the victim, his common-law wife.
Santos review hearing was set for Sept. 12 at 9 am.
Litulumar was sentenced to six months of imprisonment but all suspended. She was placed on probation for six months and was ordered to pay a fine of $100 and a $25 assessment fee. She was ordered to stay away from the victim.
Litulumar’s review hearing was set for Oct. 3.
Ngiramengior was charged for hitting his nephew with a piece of lumber on Nov. 11, 2006 while Santos was charged for pushing his common-law wife and hitting her in the face on Nov. 22, 2006.
Litulumar was charged for disturbing the peace of Jesusa Litulumar on Aug. 2, 2006.
