ORGANIZERS of
the Eskuelan San Francisco de Borja of Rota Golf Fundraising Tournament
are waiting for confirmation from Guam and Rota golfers that they will
participate in the June 30 event.
We encourage Guam and Rota golfers to take part in this worthy cause,
said Jess Wabol, one of the organizers of the golfest, which will be held
on the west course of the LaoLao Bay Golf Resort.
We are hoping to attract 80 golfers for the fundraiser, Wabol
added.
Proceeds from the tournament will be used to help with the operational
costs of the Songsong-based school.
The tournament will have a double peoria format. The check-in time is
6 a.m., while tee off is at 7 a.m.
The entrance fee is $120 and golfers need not pay extra fees to qualify
for the closest to the pin, most accurate drive and longest drive contests.
Two cars from Triple J Motors are at stake as hole-in-one prizes, while
the top three placers will receive $500, $400 and $300 in cash.
