Kagman farmers donate vegetables to CHC volunteers

A VARIETY of vegetables donated by Kagman farmers allowed the Commonwealth Health Center Volunteers Association to raise more money for the hyperbaric chamber CHC needs.
Selling the vegetables raised $336 for the volunteers who sold them in the hallway near their gift shop at the hospital on May 16.
About 75 Kagman farmers donated 400 pounds of assorted vegetables which they delivered to CHC.
The donation is part of the ongoing Ranchers and Farmers Month celebration.
The farmers also donated vegetables to the manamko’.
CHC Volunteers Association president Kim Prinz said those working at the hospital and many visitors as well bought the vegetables.
She said that although last week’s sales did not much those of last year, the amount they raised was a step toward their goal.
Prinz said they still have a long way to go before they can buy the sophisticated medical equipment which will cost $400,000.
