All set for Las Vegas Night on Nov. 18

LAS Vegas Night, the Rotary Club of Saipan’s biggest annual fundraising event, will be held on Nov. 18, Saturday, in the Royal Taga Ballroom at the Saipan World Resort, club service director and event coordinator Tatiana Babauta said.

At the club’s weekly meeting at the Hyatt’s Giovanni’s Restaurant on Tuesday, Babauta said volunteers from Rotaract and Interact will help prepare the venue this week.

The event will start at 6 p.m. and continue until 12 a.m.

The first prize is a brand new 2018 Mazda 3 which will be displayed at the entrance of the venue, Babauta said.

The other major prizes are $3,000, $1,000, and $500.

In an interview, club vice president Brian Clayton said they will have tables for baccarat, black jack, Texas hold ‘em, roulette and bingo.

Tickets are $5 each or $20 per booklet of five tickets. They can be bought from club members, but “we will continue to sell tickets at the entrance,” Clayton said.

In an earlier interview, club president-elect Greg Borja said they hope to raise $50,000 from this year’s Las Vegas Night. The funds make possible the club’s various community projects, he added.

The event is also part of the 50th anniversary celebration of the Saipan Rotary Club this month.
