Sen. Quitugua touts good relationship with other lawmakers, administration

SENATOR Justo S. Quitugua, who wants to seek a second term on the Republican slate in the 2018 elections, said he decided to join the GOP because of his good working relationship with the Republican lawmakers and administration.

Quitugua was among those who attended the gathering on Sunday where Gov. Ralph Torres’s announced that Senate President Arnold Palacios will be his running mate.

Quitugua said to ensure that the “progress that is happening today is sustainable, it would be best if I join the GOP.”

Like the GOP, he said his goal is to see to it that “economic activities will become greater than today so our people will have better lives.”

He added, “I am just waiting for the GOP’s official endorsement of my candidacy.”
