House, Senate recognize Ursula Lifoifoi Aldan

THE House of Representatives and the Senate adopted resolutions to recognize CNMI Chief Probation Officer Ursula Lifoifoi Aldan’s service in the field of law enforcement and for receiving a prestigious award from the American Probation and Parole Association.

House Resolution 20-15, introduced by Rep. Leepan Guerrero, was presented to Aldan on Tuesday morning during a House session.

The Senate adopted Senate Resolution 20-16, during a session on Tuesday morning.

The House resolution stated that Aldan was selected from among a group of 80,000 probation and parole officers from all over the nation to receive an award from the American Probation and Parole Association.

Aldan has been a public servant for 34 years and was the first female probation officer hired by the CNMI judiciary, the resolution stated.

In an interview, Aldan said she was thankful for the recognition, adding that she will continue to serve and advocate for the CNMI.
