CPA lights up Christmas tree

THE Commonwealth Ports Authority on Wednesday lit its big Christmas tree at the Saipan airport to signal the start of the holidays.

Chris Tenorio
CPA Executive Director Chris Tenorio said it’s been a while since they had a big Christmas tree.

“We decided to have it this year to inspire everyone, especially those who are having a hard time or going through some difficulties. We want them to be happy this holiday season. Every time they come here or drive by the airport, we want them to smile and feel the spirit of Christmas,” Tenorio said.

He said he is also grateful to the CPA staff including ports police officers for their hard work and dedication.

“This year, we have reached another milestone, and we were often in the news because of our newly completed, ongoing and future projects. But with growth, there will always be challenges. So I ask that you continue to work efficiently and effectively as we further improve and develop our airports and seaports,” he told the CPA personnel.

“Let us also celebrate and give thanks to the Lord for continuing to guide us, our loved ones and CPA. Enjoy, be safe and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families!”

CPA prepared a Thanksgiving lunch for CPA employees and their families on Tuesday and a dinner for ports police, staff and their families on Wednesday night.
