2 ice defendants get 5 years

SUPERIOR Court Judge Kenneth L. Govendo last week sentenced two repeat offenders to five years imprisonment each for illegal possession of methamphetamine or ice.

Ivan Jones Castro, 40, was sentenced for two counts of illegal possession of a controlled substance.

Jeffrey T. Deleon Guerrero, 42, also known as “Feng,” was sentenced for illegal possession of a controlled substance.

The two defendants will serve their sentences without the possibility of parole, according to Judge Govendo who gave both defendants credit for time served.

Each defendant will also pay a $2,000 fine.

After he was arrested, Deleon Guerrero pleaded guilty to illegal possession of a controlled substance.

As for Castro, the court found him guilty of two counts of illegal possession of a controlled substance.
