Island celebrates ‘Paskong Pinoy’

AMID difficulties and uncertainty, the people should still find time to enjoy the holiday season, United Filipino Organization president Marlon Regaton said as he opened the annual Filipino Christmas or “Paskong Pinoy” program at the Marianas Business Plaza on Sunday.

“We should be thankful for all our blessings,” he added.

The annual event is also held to   showcase the talent of young people and entertain the public, Regaton said.

In his remarks, Saipan Mayor David M. Apatang thanked UFO for its annual Christmas celebration.

“Here I am, having another great opportunity to celebrate Christmas with you all. It is always joyous to see a lively crowd like this with smiles on everyone’s faces,” he added.

“How we celebrate Christmas may vary for each individual, but what we should all do is find time to give thanks for the good things that have come to us and share the gift of giving,” the mayor said.

Apatang said it is important to give thanks to family, neighbors, friends, and most especially to God.

“Let us enjoy this day with our loved ones.”
