280 graduate from UOG’s largest fall class

HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — The University of Guam promoted its largest graduating class of any December commencement ceremony in history, conferring 280 degrees to graduates during the Fanuchånan or Fall Commencement Ceremony, held Sunday at the UOG Calvo Field House.

The largest number of graduates come from UOG’s School of Business and Public Administration, which conferred a combined 105 undergraduate degrees in business administration, accounting, public administration, and criminal justice, and 30 graduate degrees from its Master of Public Administration and Professional Master of Business Administration programs.

Graduates are “ready to engage the world, meet adversity, knock on closed doors, break down barriers and reach potential,” said UOG President Robert Underwood.

The commencement ceremony is Underwood’s second to last as president of the university. He will be retiring in June 2018 after his 10-year tenure in the position.
