Rotary Club of Saipan to send 4 students to Japan

THE Rotary Club of Saipan will send four Interact students to Japan for an educational-exchange program next month.

Club international service director Ivan Ilmov said the Saipan delegation will leave on Feb. 28 and attend the 40th anniversary of the Hasaki Rotary Club.

“We have a good relationship with the Hasaki club,” he added.

The travel costs of the Saipan delegation will be paid for by the island’s counterpart club in Japan, Ilmov said.

The delegation will have four student members — one each from the Interact Clubs at Kagman High School, Marianas High School, Saipan International School and Saipan Southern High School.

On Jan. 14, Rotary Club of Saipan president-elect Greg Borja said they will send two Interact students to Japan for an Intereact exchange program with the Rotary Club of Tokyo Hachioji-South.
